New Member Spotlight: Marty Williams

CU Racing Team is excited to welcome new member Marty Williams. The Williams family are all outstanding runners and advocates for the sport. 

Marty Williams is an ecologist with USDA-ARS and an associate professor at the University of Illinois.  He enjoys racing all distances between 5k and marathon.  He writes articles regularly for In Passing, the newsletter of Second Wind Running Club, and occasionally writes for larger venue publications including Marathon and Beyond.  His short-term goal is to have a strong performance at the 2014 Boston Marathon, and long-term goal is to stay faster than his boys as long as possible.  Besides Marty, you’ll also find his wife Becky and three sons, Garret, Gaven, and Gage, racing around CU.
